Samantha Sassmouth's classical training and live performances in string quartets and punk bands prepared her well for her career in techno music. Sam's love for minimal tech-house takes her all over the world to her new creative home in London. After her memorable appearance at HEMF5 we're excited to have her back for more of her wicked bass lines.
Tom Foolery studies the practice of sound in healing, chakras, energy flows, and kundalini. Mingling with the revered house and techno scenes of the Midwest evolved his style into an exciting nu sound for the dance floor. Tom's pension for analog and classic hardware leads to a production technique long forgotten although still going strong in the psy scene. His years of studio work have led to a series of releases including work with UK breaks producer Transformerman and projects with legendary Florida breaks producer DJ Fixx. TomFoolery’s sound continues to represent the cutting edge of the worldwide breaks collective.
One of Hawaii's queens of drum and bass, Gin Carter aka Saya is best known for forming Pacific Jungle which presents Honolulu's longest running drum and bass monthly Subphonix. Along with DJ Toki she also produces Broken Liquid, a positive-vibed night of liquid drum and bass and other eclectic beats.
Saya and Pacific Jungle bring a number of artists to the islands from around the globe and is gearing up for their big event Ed Rush & Optical at Pipeline Café January 3rd, featuring many of Hawaii's hottest EDM DJs. She was featured on the Back2Back Sessions series and has recently been spinning at LA's longest running drum and bass weekly, Respect.
Rhythm Star's annual homecoming event brings him back from Honolulu for his fifth HEMF encounter which is always a special treat. Adam keeps pushing the musical envelope to create meaningful mystical experiences that take the dance floor on a beautiful journey with his skillful blend of bassline breaks, deep progressive house and tribal psychedelica.

Earth Angel Anne brings her sonic yumminess back to the HEMF dance floor. Anne has been developing her unique personal style of creating magical musical journeys at the ecstatic dance movement space at Kalani Honua.
Evan Marc Bartholomew aka Bluetech is one of the most creative electronic music producers today. Evan's sound emerges from his custom-built Reaktor instruments and software based synthesizers as a primordial electro-dub alchemy. While encompassing musical touches from various parts of the globe, he creates a beautiful blend, crossing genres and borders. His label Native State Records releases artists who cross boundaries between ambient/chill and idm/experimental sounds.
The Groove master Luckey Brown makes the Volcano area of the Big Island his home where he spins his funky house music records and raises his lovely family.
Craig Kohland is the founder of Shaman's Dream music collective. He is a talented multi-percussionist, drummer and world music producer. He is committed to producing music, art, movement and sacred ritual to elevate the human spirit. Craig splits his time between Venice Beach and the Big Island and we're happy to welcome him to his first HEMF.

Chrystalline's VERY favorite DJ Chris Klein aka Sablazo is a talented and spirited artist from Taos, NM, Chris experiments with sonic improvisation... harmonic, rythmic, frequency bending; tasteful space-funk. what could be better? strange, but beautiful...
Kona resident house DJ Brian Lamb aka Unit:E resonates the spirit of Aloha and universal love through his passion for tech house. Spreading his good vibes on the dance floor and teaching DJ fundamentals to Big Island youth is his way of bringing more harmony and compassion into our world.

Merkaba is the creative vision of Trevor Arnholt from Maui who brings his visual magic to HEMF for the fifth straight year.Trevor is the co-creator of the Chicago Undershorts Film Festival which features independent film, music and performance art of all sorts.

A Merkaba is a divine light vehicle that can connect one to higher realms of consciousness, enable one to time travel and experience great harmony of the spirit and body. The Merkaba is made up of two polar electromagnetic fields in the shape of opposing, counter rotating star-tetrahedrons. Every living creature has a Merkaba field of energy around it. Once aware if this, the possibilities are endless….
Jim Abrams's visual project NIMH has been elevating dance floors from New York City to San Francisco and Hawaii with his unique style of video compositions.
